Home Stay

31 Oct

Pics from my weekend stay with Betty from the 5th grade. Spent all day Saturday at a park.

Even in the city, you’ll see carts like these with farmers selling bananas and different fruits

Waiting to give kids a ride in his cart πŸ™‚

Awww!

Time for dinner – the kids worked up an appetite

Never had blue bread as an appetizer before – it was pretty good though!

How cute is this?! πŸ™‚

Betty’s Grandma

Care for some Korean Lettuce? The lettuce soaks in water, then you lather each leaf with garlic and red pepper, and then it sits for three days before consumed.

Greetings. Have been really enjoying your pics and stories of China. I was surprised to hear about the public heat. Brrrr. I think no thanks on the Korean lettuce! Thinking of you. Enjoy this great time!!

Charity (2) was looking at these pictures with me and loved the dog waiting to carry kids… but what was cute was when we got to the picture of the little Chinese child and I kept scrolling down, she kept asking me to back up- back up. πŸ™‚ She loved that picture!
