“Whatever It Takes”

15 Mar

On the road with Libby…

This weekend, close to 40 married couples had to ask themselves if they were willing to do “whatever it takes”. Many husbands and wives who have lived lives pleasing their own flesh, women who have made their husbands an idol in their lives, husbands who have been addicted to pornography, husbands who have been unfaithful, and couples who have hid past sins from their spouses found freedom through the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Paul and Jenny Speed presented their 7th WIT conference in Indianapolis, Indiana from March 11th – 14th. I had the privilege of coming along with a friend and co-worker of mine to help assist the Speeds with their ministry. Each day was jam-packed with hard Biblically-based teaching, testimonies, praise, and prayer. Throughout the long days, you could see tears in eyes and anger and hurt in expressions as issues surfaced and were finding resolve. Hearts that were broken and scarred were finding restoration and healing. Forgiveness was being sought and love was being renewed. Some worked through more difficult and hurtful issues and have a long road of restoration ahead of them. But hearts and lives were changed – changed for God!

part of a skit….

an open relationship full of trust cannot be achieved when sin is hidden…

eager listeners, needy souls…

sharing a testimony…

despite hurts from others, God can re-build relationships…

forever hand in hand…

because we are one…

a relationship  – all for Jesus and His glory…

a special communion service for the couples…

learning to let go and let God…

more pics to come soon…

What a blessing it all must have been to everyone there.

That looks like a good retreat. I enjoy reading about your activities, Sara. 🙂
