Christmas Conference

15 Dec

This past weekend was incredible. Most of the staff headed to Indianapolis Friday morning for the first day of the Christmas conference. I stayed behind and worked and went down with a few others just in time for some evening ice skating. IBLP rents out a rink and we get to skate with friends (old and new) while listening to beautiful Christmas music. When they cleared us off the ice at 11:30 pm, I couldn’t believe it was already that late. Time flies when you’re having fun!

Some of us didn’t want the evening to end, so we went to ‘Steak and Shake’ and had the time of our lives. Yes, we may not have gotten back till around 2:30 in the morning but hey, who needs sleep anyways? 🙂  I woke up two and a half hours later for breakfast prep and then enjoyed a great session with Andy Andrews.

Andy is such a dynamic, entertaining speaker. He’s different than any other motivational speaker. He captures your attention with stories and illustrations but gives profound insight and shares much wisdom in all that he shares. Much of what he said was thought-provoking and left you wanting to attain more of God’s best for your life.

In many of the sessions, there was special music. A small group of us sang a version of “Silent Night”. It was so much fun! Also, most of the headquarters staff sang the “Hallelujah Chorus”. After many evenings of diligent practice and prayer, it sounded incredible!

In the midst of sessions, napping, working, talking, laughing, and just being crazy – my heart was blessed and amazing memories were made! I think a lot of us would say that we had the time of our lives!

Here’s a slideshow with a few pictures from over the weekend:
