What a Wonderful Week

1 Jun

My time in Nashville, TN was absolutely amazing! It all started Monday morning. We were ready to leave bright and early with the luggage packed, the trailer hitched, and everyone sitting inside ready to leave. We decided to put the cooler up by the front seat for our trip and as we were maneuvering it, the cooler pushed against the fire extinguisher causing it to release! What a catastrophe! The powder released everywhere causing everyone to start choking and trying to get out of the van as fast as possible.  The van was a mess – it was certainly a sight to behold! 🙂 It took a little while to get it all cleaned up before we were finally on the road! I was a little hestitant thinking what a start for a busy, tiring trip and conference week – but it was a good test of my patience and God was good and gracious in giving us a pleasant, beautiful ride down south.

The week was a flurry of activity! We were up very early each day and getting to bed very late – sometimes 1 or 2 in the morning – but it was an awesome conference! There were so many great speakers and such a wonderful spirit of all who attended. I was blessed to be able to give my testimony during one of the student sessions. Our trio group (consisting of Johanna, Alisa, and me) was able to sing during two of the evening sessions. We sang “He the Pearly Gates Will Open” which is special for us as that was our song from Romania and then we performed a new one, “I’ll Fly Away/Swing Low, Sweet Chariot”. It was so wonderful to be able to minister in that way and we had a blast!

Since Friday concluded the conference, our entire staff was treated to dinner along with the Duggar family.  We all piled into a bus and about 80 of us enjoyed an evening of some great fellowship! It was a wonderful way to end such a spectacular week!

We left Friday afternoon around 3pm and arrived in Chicago about 11:30pm. It was a long trip but I praise the Lord for His safety. Passing through Indianapolis proved to be quite a feat as we hit an electrical storm. It was breath-taking but we eventually hit a violent rain storm along with tornado warnings. It was an experience and needless to say, I was exhausted once we got home. 🙂

I will try to upload some pictures and maybe even some videos of the conference once things settle down. I am leaving today to head home for a visit with my dear family. I can’t wait! I miss them so much!

Until later, God bless you all!
