Big Sandy Regional Conference

29 Apr

It’s been a full schedule here in Big Sandy. We arrived Saturday evening after a long trip of 14 hours but it was a trip much enjoyed with lots of fellowship, chatting, laughing, and resting! Sunday was a day of rest to prepare for the busy week ahead.

There was a lot of set-up accomplished all day Monday and the morning of Tuesday. I’m helping in book sales and enjoyed meeting so many wonderful families who love the Lord. I was really happy to catch up with some of the girls from my Journey team as well.

There are some great sessions this week. Of course, Mr. Gothard is speaking along with Steve Green (owner of Hobby Lobby craft stores), Jim Sammons, Otto Koning, Chris Hogan, and many others. A highlight on the opening evening was seeing the Duggar and Bates family with all of their children. What a wonderful sight – two couples and 35 children! Not a usual sight in this generation!

Well, this was just a little update! We are praising the Lord for beautiful weather and anticipating all that the rest of the week will bring!

How great to be able to see the Duggar family! That would be so much fun! 35 kids – that definitely is an unusual sight these days! Sounds like a wonderful conference! 🙂
