Valentine’s Day Banquet

17 Feb

I figured it would be easiest to make a slide show of some of the pics I took at the banquet. I wasn’t able to get too many when the guests were here as I was very busy in the kitchen from the morning till about 11:30 at night. 🙂 Everyone I worked with had such a cheerful servant’s heart the entire day preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up – some even staying till 1 and 2 AM just to finish all that needed to be done! Whew!

There is so much that I am learning here! Even helping out in the kitchen, I felt like I was taking a cooking class. Ha!Clayton is our outstanding chef here at IBLP and the ideas he came up with for the banquet were phenomenal. I loved the touch of class with the monogrammed plates and the artistic shadow of the cherry on the plates for the palette cleansers! It was all so amazingly presented and the food was out-of-this-world. And the desserts – oh, don’t get me started on the blueberry cheesecake! 🙂

The banquet was a huge success and an encouragement to so many.  But ultimately, God was glorified and that’s what it’s all about!
