A Rainy Day

For the past two days, it has been raining, snowing, and just plain dreary. Since cold, chilly days tend to keep me indoors, it was a good day to get some housework done as well as some cake decorating! It’s been awhile since I decorated a cake and I thought I would bring one to our church prayer meeting tonight as we usually enjoy some coffee, hot chocolate, and sweets afterwards!

 

On to a different subject 🙂 , I read these powerful statements by Spurgeon a few days ago and I thought your heart might be blessed just as mine was:

“The love of Christ in its sweetness, its fullness, its greatness, its faithfulness, passes all human comprehension. Heaven on earth is abounding love to Jesus. This is the first and last of true delight – to love Him who is the first and the last. To love Jesus is another name for paradise.”

May this encourage us to partake of a little “heaven on earth” by spending time with our Saviour every day!
