Special Service with the Millers

26 Nov

We had a very busy weekend. My Dad had invited the Miller family from North Carolina to come and minister in song and preaching for our worship service on Sunday. (If you would like to hear samples of Abigail Miller’s songs or if you would like to purchase CD’s, please visit their website by clicking here.)
We were blessed to have their family over for dinner on Saturday evening. Then as a last minute happening, we received a call from a Canadian family who were in the area and had heard that the Millers would be at our church and desired more information. So, Dad invited them over as well. It was a blessing to be able to serve these two couples and their eleven children and enjoy spiritual sharpening, fellowship, hearty singing, and even some ping-pong!
Sunday proved to be a very full day. Abbey and her children sang different songs from her CDs as well as a brand-new one. The music and the words touched my heart! It was an amazing time; and to hear the children singing without hesitation and fear and seeing their bright smiling faces was a treasure! Mr. Miller’s sermon was encouraging and thought-provoking. I truly believe Jesus Christ was magnified, extolled, and honoured! Praise be to His name!
I tried to upload a video of the Miller’s singing but had some trouble – so I’ll just post some pictures, instead!

I just had to include this one! Our family and the Millers were invited over the Roskos‘ home following the Sunday service. Mom just loves the babies!

It must have been nice having them over, they look like a lovely family! I got on their website but was unable to listen to the music samples. (Our computer is not very fast.) The CD’s looked really good though.:)

We’ve been friends with Paul and Abby for YEARS – even before their courtship. They are truly a blessing to us – friends always!
