Home at Last!

11 Nov
Our hearts are filled with great delight, excitement, and joy! The long awaited day has arrived – Thomas is home at last! We had missed his presence for 9 weeks due to his training at the Alert Academy in Big Sandy, Texas; but we are overjoyed to have him home again with us. It is an abundant blessing – one which we are exceedingly thankful for!
As I’m sure you can imagine, the drive home from the Philadelphia airport was filled with lots of storytelling! Some stories brought smiles to our faces, some brought astonishment, some brought amazement, but all brought praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. Thomas is very thankful for the opportunity to attend Alert and is looking forward to what the Lord has in store for him in the future!
We are praising our Saviour for His goodness in keeping Thomas safe and healthy during the basic training. The graduation for Unit 38 was held last night to commemorate all of the squad mates’ accomplishments and skills. We wish we could have been there to celebrate along with him but the Lord had different plans.
Here are a few pics from today and I’m sure there will be more to follow in the days ahead! So stay posted!

I just recently found your blog and I love reading it. Your love of God and family shine through with each post. Congratulations to Thomas – I hope he didn’t loathe it too much since I am from Texas and happen to love it. Been through Big Sandy though so I know where he was. What a wonderful pre-Thanksgiving gift!! I look forward to more from you soon.
