Thomas is off to Texas!

10 Sep
Waking up at 4:45 AM, we were sad to think that we wouldn’t be seeing Thomas for 9 weeks. He is attending the Alert Academy (associated with IBLP) in Big Sandy, Texas. He has been very excited and looking forward to this new chapter in his life for many weeks. It has been an answer to many prayers and he is greatly looking forward to what the Lord may do in his heart and life during this time.
Please keep Thomas in your prayers – apparently the first 3 weeks of training are very intense. The training may be even harder on him because of his former injuries from his accident in May.
Below are a few photos of our last few days with Thomas. Sunday evening, we had a going-away party for him at the Roskos’ house. Many of us shared special verses and blessings as an encouragement to him.
Our last family meal together!

What a pretty cake that was 🙂 I know how it is to miss a brother- mine is about 4 hours away from me now!

What a wonderful way to send your brother off! I think it is wonderful that you were able to bless him like that. I am sure that the letters given to him, verses, and prayers prayed over him will lift him up during the difficult days of Basic Training!
    We are praying for him!
    Blessings,
